FAQ
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we see:
Q
How do I get started?
To get started in the healing journey, we ask you to book a free 15 minute Discovery Session to tell us about your health concerns. This allows us to make sure that the care we provide fits your health needs.
Q
Do you do virtual appointments?
Yes, all sessions are available via video chat. We can communicate through Zoom, Skype or phone calls.
Q
Do you accept insurance?
Rootology Functional Nutrition is an insurance-free practice. We work in partnership with you to provide the most advanced approach and testing, based on your individual needs to provide the best individual care. Much of the traditional health care and insurance model is designed as a one-size-fits all system to address the disease, rather than the individual. We develop personalized plans that work specifically for you with your unique genome, environment, lifestyle, and situation. That means you get support geared for the best possible results, rather than recommendations that are geared toward what insurance will cover. Together, we get to the root causes, and quite frankly, the root causes to all disease are very similar and they don’t have a billable insurance code. This model allows transparency, less anxiety about unknown bills and fewer hassles. At Rootology, you are investing in your long-term health and the time needed to focus on you and the prevention of illness. A receipt is available that you may choose to submit to your FSA/HSA.
Q
Do you work with clients who have Autoimmune disease?
Yes, we work with patients who have Autoimmunity and anticipate great improvements using our Functional Nutrition approach.
Q
Do you work with children?
Yes! We love helping children struggling with behavior, mood, nutritional, and other disorders— to shine like we know they can!
Q
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that there are times when you must miss an appointment due to emergencies or obligations for work or family. However, when you do not call to cancel an appointment, you may be preventing another patient from getting much needed treatment. Conversely, the situation may arise where another patient fails to cancel and we are unable to schedule you for a visit, due to a full appointment schedule. Please know there may be a late fee charged if your appointment is not cancelled or rescheduled 24 hours prior to the appointment time. We appreciate your understanding.

Let's Work Together
We will take a look at your individual health as a whole and give you the opportunity to learn about behaviors that are impeding optimal health and offer suggestions for improvement. This gives the you the roadmap to make the commitment needed to make meaningful changes that will regain and restore health.
